Quick and easy holiday snacks for toddlers

Toddlers are busy little bodies. As you enjoy your holidays with friends and family, you may have several toddlers visiting. Try these quick and easy holiday snack ideas for toddlers.

Pretzel Sticks - Most toddlers love pretzel sticks. They are easy for them to hold. Just make sure you buy the thin pretzel sticks, not the thicker ones. Make sure you keep an eye on your toddlers while they eat these.

Fresh FruitToddlers will gobble up fresh fruit in a heartbeat. Make sure you cut peel the skin off apples and cut them into small, bite-sized slices. To make it fun, use a cheese grater to make apple “fries” for the toddlers.

Dried MangoServe your toddlers dried mango slices. These dried fruit are just soft enough that they are chewy. For an extra treat, dip just the tip of a few mango slices in chocolate melts.

Mini Pumpkin Pies - When you make pumpkin pies for holiday dinners, set aside a bit of extra dough. Make miniature pumpkin pies, just right for toddler’s little hands to hold and eat. They’ll love this spicy, holiday treat.

Sugar Free Cookies - Make a batch of sugar cookies, minus the sugar. Substitute sugar with applesauce or apple juice.  Kids love applesauce cookies!  Bananas work great too.

Cheese You can buy pre-cut cheese “straws” in your grocer’s deli. Arrange them on a tray and offer them to your toddler for a snack. Another favorite of toddlers is cheese squares, which you can also buy in your grocer’s deli or cheese section.
